Green peas masala without coconut:

Green peas or muttor are widely available during the onset of winter season around Goa. Usually we prepare a masala gravy out of it with coconut, however you can prepare this masala also without coconut but in a goan style as a part of goan veg recipes.

Ingredients:
Green peas or muttor- 1 cup
Cloved-2-3
Cinnamon-1 stick
Coriander seeds-2 tsp
Peppercorns-1 tsp
Ginger-1 inch
Garlic-2-3 pods
Tamarind paste-1 tsp
Coriander seeds-1 cup
Tomatoes-1
Onion-1
Haldi-1 tsp
Red chilli powder-2 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Cardamon-2
Salt and sugar as per taste
Method:
In mixer grind cloves, cinnamon, coriander seeds, peppercorns, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, cardamom, half tomato, half onion to fine paste with little water.
In kadai add oil, add half chopped onion, saute. Add half chopped tomato. Add muttor or green peas and cook with little water. Add haldi, red chilli powder, garam masala and finely the mixer grounded paste. Mix nicely and give a boil. Add salt, sugar as per your taste and chopped coriander on top. Off the gas and serve with chapaties.
